We strive to make a difference through our personalized approach to selecting the boutique wineries and vintners that we work with. We love to learn about new projects and try new wines, but our process starts by getting to know the winemakers and their projects. We don’t just want to show a label in the store; we want to understand what’s behind it.

We share these experiences with our visitors: our goal is to create an unintimidating space to celebrate learning and passion for small-scale Chilean wineries with everyone, regardless of their experience or existing knowledge. Everyone has their own wine journey; hopefully La Cava del Barrio can be part of it.

We’re boutique wine experts

​

Our store is located in the Barrio Italia of Providencia (Santiago) and our aim is to always provide a friendly space for conversation, meet-ups and the spread of information about boutique wine.

​

Through tasting and discussion, we personally select every single one of the labels that you will find in our store. We currently work with about 50 winemakers, representing almost 20 of Chile’s winemaking regions, with over 150 different labels in stock at any one time.

Many of the wines that we stock have received awards or high scores from national and international specialized critics and their publications and while we are very proud of those, the most important thing to us is that we only have wines in the store that we ourselves would drink. That means that we can recommend any bottle in the store, based upon our direct knowledge and our personal selection process.
